| Dear Colleagues,
We are very pleased to invite you to the Biennial European Conference of the Society for Medical Decision Making that will be held in the lovely town of Engelberg, Switzerland, June 1-4, 2008. The conference venue will be the Europaischer Hof Hotel Europe.
Engelberg is an hour's train ride from Luzern which is easily accessible by train from all Europe and easy access from Zurich airport and offers both excellent accommodations and up-to-date conference facilities. This friendly, compact village is 1050 meters above sea level and is characterized by the specials charm of the Benedictine Monastery, the wonderful countryside and impressive mountain backdrop, including Titlis Glacier Park..
The conference will bring together researchers and practitioners in a variety of areas within medical decision-making. Participants will be exposed to theoretical developments, applications, and implementation in practice. We look forward to a stimulating and fruitful exchange.
The conference includes plenary sessions, oral presentations and posters. Parallel sessions will allow the program to focus on specific areas. Several short courses are planned for Sunday, June 1, 2008.
Participants will be welcomed at a reception on Sunday evening, June 1, and the following three days will be devoted to scientific sessions. We plan an evening of entertainment and a festive dinner which will be accessible by cable car to the peak of one of the local famous ski resorts.
We look forward to welcoming you among our participants.
Sincerely, Hans Heinrich Brunner, Dan Greenberg, Joseph Pliskin Program Co-Chairs |
