European Conferences

I want to build a list of all the conferences held during WWII between the world leaders (FDR, Churchill, Stalin, Atlee).
Ok, and Truman, too.

There were many conferences during the war but only once did Truman (FDR had died), Churchill, Stalin, Atlee all meet at the same time. That was the last one, the Potsdam Conference July/August 1945.

Below is the list of conferences held during WW2, it says the list is incomplete but I don’t know of any others.
See in the Major participants column, different conferences were attended by different people, it was hard to get the leaders of the major Allies together at the same time.

I’m look for three specific subjects only please:

Spirituality – Self-Help – Science

I can’t seem to find any online sources that list these types of events. Most event websites only really cater for sports and music events and this is not what I want.

Any advice?

As an Oregon alumnus I have the PAC-12 and seeing as the SEC have dominated the last few yeas, I’ve added them too. I only have room for two more conferences and I’m not sure which ones to use. It’s a 12 team league. Any help would be appreciated.

in a 12 team league, i don’t think you need more than those 2 conferences. you have 24 teams. adding another conference would give you a bigger universe than the NFL offers… unless you want to make it easier. if that’s the idea, i’d include the Big Ten and/or Big 12. adding either of them would give you 35 or 36 teams. Definitely leave the Big East out, and i don’t think the ACC gives you all that much.

My sister-in-law bum rushed me in front my daughter, husband and other sister in law. How many pre trial conferences typically before a sentenced is set. We’re coming up on a second one come October.

Every case is different and there are not any set numbers, it depends on the judge handling the case, when there are legitimate delays it could be 10 or 15 or even more before the trial and then the sentencing will happen if the person is found guilty. In most cases there is only one pretrial and then the trial but some there are delays that the judge will allow.}{

I am attending an conference type of event and it says "hotel and meals are contracted".
Does this mean they are free or do I have to pay for them?

It means that it’s all already paid for.

It seems many Christian churches are sponsoring these events lately in churches, hotels and summer tent meetings.

Famous Christian ministers such as Rick Warren, Joel Osteen, Kenneth Copeland, Benny Hinn, and Joyce Meyer seem to promote them.

They are the people who have managed to take the bible’s, quite laudable, messages about life being more than just a scrabble for monetary wealth & twisted them around to fit the capitalistic desires of modern America.

Although it is quite clear than when the bible speaks of ‘rewards’ it is referring the sort of thing that money can’t buy, like love, peace of mind, a clear conscience, etc, these people have reduced it’s meaning to dollars & cents.

It’s shameful really & if I was a Christian I’d be wholeheartedly p*ssed off with them.

The other day I was wondering how much it would cost to buy a conference south team. If you know of any purchases in the past of a conference south team or have a rough idea please say. I will give best answer to the answer that gives me the best idea of the price. Thanks.

I suppose this depends on the club & chairman & board. some clubs will be different prices. depends also if the club has any debt. I would not like to even guess a price but with the type of money you would need to buy a conference south team a better idea might be to set up your own football team just like F.C United of Manchester & A.F.C. Wimbledon then try and work your way up the leagues whilst investing in the club.

I have written a research paper and submitted it in an international conference in Shanghai. This is my first time. I rechecked the paper many times before submitting but still I have left one mistake. Now the submission dates have passed and I am a little tense. There is still some time in the decision notification date. I want to know if the conference replies if the paper is not submitted or if there is a mistake.

Yes. The conference committee usually notify all presenters whether their paper are accepted for presentation & proceedings or not. If you make just one minor mistake, there is a great chance your paper will still be accepted. Some papers are peer-reviewed before the committee make a decision about acceptance or rejection, and presenters are usually given a chance to revise the paper.
