Prime minister Raila Odinga maintains that anyone in government implicated in corruption should step aside to allow for investigations. Speaking at an international conference in Japan the pm defended his decision to suspend the two ministers but remained confident that a solution to the current stalemate would still be found through dialogue. On Sunday president Kibaki overturned the PMs decision to suspend agriculture minister William Ruto and his education counterpart Sam Ongeri following corruption allegations in their ministries
