Why are so many saying they want US Conference of Catholic Bishops to write our immigration laws?

Why are so many saying they want the US Conference of Catholic Bishops to write our immigration laws according to what their beliefs are with no other faiths allowed any input ? Why is the US Conference of Catholic Bishops the only way ?

I don’t. These people would give this country away and empty it’s depleted coffers completely, while retaining their own wealth. The catholic church cries out for help for folks in need, takes pennies from brainwashed folks that can’t afford it and says it always needs more, while remaining possably the richest organization in the world. Self interest goes a long way when the people they will help will be mostly in their thrall one way or another.

I don’t that that would happen. But from what I can see…the laws we have in place are useless.
