What to prepare for a national leadership conference?

This leadership conference will determine whether or not I am able to get an internship in a good company next summer. Any suggestion of what I should prepare for the conference and what I should do while I am there?

Look up some important people you might meet there to get background information, so you can hold a discussion with them when you get there. Make sure you pack clothing that looks professional and appropriate for the occasion. Try to give a good impression to everyone you meet there and always be polite.

Write a list of your priorities. Also a list of your abilities and shortfalls. I took a supervisory class many years ago that helped me a lot. The seminar was not about how to supervize others. It was about getting to know who you are. Once you understand yourself, it is easier to understand others and how you react to others. So learn about who you are. What is important to you and how you react to others. Then use that in the conference.
