    You might like to listen to the Watergate recordings. Don’t listen to what’s being said, listen to how it’s being said. I was rather stunned when I first heard them. They’re practically unintelligible, but the conversation makes sense to both parties involved.
    Being a good speaker isn’t about talking like a pre-written paragraph, it’s about conveying information. Hms and hahs are a natural component of speech, professional or otherwise. In many cases we just don’t notice it, as it’s irrelevant

    And who in the ever confused McCain as an eloquent speaker, he’s awful too. But he was never touted as a good speaker anyway.

    He might not have used a teleprompter for this particular press conferences but he has had scripted press conferences. I guess that was to save him the trouble of actually having to use his brain to answer questions. Its so much more convinient to just be able to read your answers.

    Look my friend, having a teleprompter for a speech is different that having a teleprompter for a press conference. It shows complete lack of confidence and knowledge not to be able to answer questions when you have to uh um read the answers off a um teleprompter.

    Professionals do not say “uh,um, and you know” when speaking in public you know? They don’t have words they um use as uh crutches to help them limp from uh one uh sentence to the um next…

    So now its her fault for using a teleprompter? My point was that she did fine uh without it and uh didn’t make a fool umm out of herself. She was uh able to umm put sentences together and uh deliver them um smooothly without an aid.

    But I guess you clearly missed the point. Next time I will try and dumb things down to your level a little um more…
