Do you feel that fear of public reprisal has deterred Reps from acknowledging Bush at the conference?

If so, isn’t it wrong to cave into public perception in this way?

I attended a seminar of over 12,000 ppl this past week wherein every time his name was mentioned, the crowd actually cheered.
Actually, I was basing my question upon the Gingrich interview I watched on Fox last night and this article -

Bottom line, Conservatives need to do the right thing while ignoring the left wing in America.

Take a deep breath, until the elections of 2010, Conservatives all have targets painted on our foreheads. Get used to it.

Do not spend the next two years second guessing yourself because of how you might appear to someone else. Do not concern yourself with "saving face". You can not save face and seat at the same time.

Then, at the 2010 mid-terms, vote Conservative. Don’t vote name or State of origin or soundbite or approval rating or any other half baked reason. Just vote (R), and be done with it.

Any response at all to the comments of the left are only going to be used against you. That’s as sure as death and spending bills.

  1. Possibly. I also think that as always, the GOP is years behind people with rationale and cognitive abilities.

They seem to live in a perpetual state of denial until it is impossible to deny the obvious any longer.

They have talked about him and a lot. Did you miss it? Or did you just watch Chris Matthews and swallow it as fact. The conservatives and Reps are not dead as many of you keep wishing…

Saying it over and over isn’t going to make it happen anyway. But, hey more power to you! Keep on trying.

EDIT: their points on Bush and that administration have been vocally made…that they must accept and acknowledge the mistakes that have been made and look towards a more productive and effective model. So, yes, I understood.

Yes, probably has. And yes it’s wrong to cave, but the left leaning media and political correctness has run a muck dumbing down Americans into believing tolerance and progressiveness is the way to lead your life.

I have Friend who is a staunch Democrat primarily because he was a union man and made good money working for a large construction firm.
We clash continually over government interference. I want less big brother he likes more big brother. The other day he asked if I listened to Rush. I said not much at all anymore since I got off the road. He said oh that’s surprising since your so extreme. That really pumped me up. I’m now proud to admit I’m a conservative.

Frankly I think Bush should not have went into Iraq. He drove many conservatives out and scattered them around, homeless. I’m now an independent. If you heard Ron Paul speak, I fall somewhere between him and the constitutional party.
