Why is Russia participating in meetings against Iran’s Nuclear program?

I am not new to politics! Love it

But I can’t help but ask WHY in the world Russia would participate in such CONFERENCES?

It was Russia who helped Iran build reactors

It is Russia who sells Iran weapons

If Iran WERE to get Nuclear Weapons (which it won’t, not because they can’t, but because THEY DON’T WANT THEM), even if they did get them…they would never threaten Russia.
Yes, but Russia is ALWAYS arming Iran with Airplanes, Surface-to-air defense systems, missle defence systems

AND IT WAS RUSSIA who built their reactor…Whats up with that?

  2. Russia’s ethnic population is in a freefall decline, meanwhile Russia’s Muslim population is bursting at the seams. Russia needs to play a delicate balance to keep peace in the region. The leaders of Iran are less than stable, and Russia understands that it has a vested interest in who gets nuclear weapons in the region.

    How do you know, really for certain, that they would never threaten Russia? No one knows something like that.

  3. They will participate in anything they can, just to show they’re in charge of the world’s politics.
    Even if their participation will be completely fruitless, the Russian TV will show the report about the conference in such way that it will convince Russians that the whole world can’t do anything without Russia’s approval.

    I love the fact that Mendeleyev and Wschmertz answered back-to-back. We could therefore conclude that Russia is desperately hanging on to life by the thinnest of hair-thin lifelines…or Russia is, by the same thin margin, on the brink of Global Domination. Or perhaps both are correct.

    Or maybe they’re just out to make a fast buck, and then do a little proforma PR to cover their backsides.

    Americans should be appalled and outraged. I thought we had the copyright on that kinda behaviour.
