Why does CSPAN have to challenge the 3 stooges (Nancy, Harry, Barry) to let them televise the health care deba?
The head of C-SPAN has asked Congress to open up the last leg of health care reform negotiations to the public, as top Democrats lay plans to hash out the final product among themselves.
C-SPAN CEO Brian Lamb wrote to leaders in the House and Senate Dec. 30 urging them to open "all important negotiations, including any conference committee meetings," to televised coverage on his public affairs cable network.
"The C-SPAN networks will commit the necessary resources to covering all of the sessions LIVE and in their entirety," he wrote.
Congressional leaders, however, reportedly are expected to by

this whole issue is just hilarious to me.
it does nothing so much as clearly demonstrate how desperate the repubes are now.
after a year in office the best the repubes can come up with now is trying to make media coverage of a congressional debate an ‘issue.’
got that everyone? not the economy, not the wars, not foreign affairs…
this is really it – media coverage of the healthcare debate – which isn’t law yet, by the way.
am i the only one who is seriously questioning the republicans priorities at this moment? they could really take this moment and stand up for the american people.
but what are they doing? making preposterous protests about a debate that MIGHT hurt one of their corporate sponsors instead.
is it me, or do the repubes look totally screwed all of a sudden?
how will they run on the weighty issue of whether or not the media covered the debate of a bill that has not been signed and is not law exactly the way they wanted?
how will republicans answer the question (that will most likely come from their own tea baggers) about what they chose to make a big issue at this moment?
or is it way too late for that now?

He did discuss this in an open manner. http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2009/oct/01/lobbyists-millions-obama-healthcare-reform Obama’s meeting on health is on C SPAN http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2009/mar/05/obama-administration-healthcare-reform
It surprises me that so many Americans seem not to be aware about Obama’s healthcare plans [a]. During the election, he campaigned for these changes stating that he felt it was unfair to have a system where insurance companies try to escape paying claims and was elected to bring in changes [b].
First of all, too many people do not know that Obama wants to make insurance more available to all. His system is similar to that which works in Holland, Taiwan [c] and Switzerland. It works there and private healthcare companies provide most the insurance to the people there.
FACT – the USA spends more on healthcare PER PERSON than any other nation on the planet [d].
FACT – insurance companies admit that they push up costs, buy politicians and do not pay out for many claims when they should [e].
FACT – the US has higher death rates for kids aged under five than western European countries with universal health coverage [f].
That means that a dead American four year old would have had a better chance of life if they were born in Canada, France, the Netherlands, Cuba, Switzerland, Germany, Japan etc, all of which have universal health coverage. And no western European nation with universal healthcare has moved away from it. And the sad thing is, that the insurance companies have spent loads of money to fight these reforms [g] and loads of politicians are taking the thirty pieces of silver from them to fight the reforms, rather than fight for the health of the American people.
Remember, I back my facts up with evidence. Those who say they are wrong tend not to. If they are wrong, e-mail me with proof and let me know.
