Is there any meeting between enemies before battle?

Is there any sort of meeting or conference between the leaders of two armies before battle? Like you now, to discuss terms of battle or anything?

Not since the end of the Middle Ages.

On rare occasions you’ll see one force send an officer to the enemy under a flag of truce to offer surrender terms. This usually happens when the defenders are badly outnumbered and in a poor position. It’s considered a humanitarian act to allow them to surrender with honor.

But most of the time, no. Surprise is the biggest advantage you have in war, so letting the enemy know where you’re going to hit with how much would be counter-productive.

  4. Yes actually there is, about 15 minutes before battle they get together and wish eachother goodluck and decide who’s turn it is to bring snacks
