Can Michigan citizens attend an appropriations conference committee meeting?

Conference committee hearings have been announced for several pending budget bills in the MI House and Senate. Are citizens allowed to attend these meetings or are they closed to the public?

All government meetings are subject to open meetings laws. Unless there is a legitimate reason for closed session, which will be stated on the agenda, meetings can be attended by the public. Hope this helps.
