Why does coffee at conferences (eg. hotel, conference centres) taste better?

I’ve noticed that when I’m at a conference/event, for some reason the coffee at these evets is really good… unfortunately they serve it in tiny cups. Can someone explain how it’s made & why it’s so good. By good, I mean it’s fresh-tasting, nice flavour & doesn’t taste like gasoline.

Fresh, properly brewed coffee is delicious.

Stale, pre-ground, canned coffee (especially Robusta) is nasty.

Whomever is in charge of the coffee must be doing it right. You can make it just as well (or better) at home if you do it right. The link below shows my favorite way to make filtered coffee.

  1. Better coffee, better brewing process, not left over heat all day.
BTW those tiny cups are what you are supposed to drink coffee in, we guzzle it by the gallon instead of sipping on a 6 oz serving.

I take a tall glass, fill it with ice and some cream, pour in the coffee right from the urn…. Fresh Ice coffee is great at a conference.
