hey Tinycrack. …
hey Tinycrack. shoot me a message regarding this issue. I think we may agree.
Sorry, I didn’t …
Sorry, I didn’t mean to trap you.
I will not slip …
I will not slip into your trap and trumpet my good deeds. Nor will I expect the government to do the church’s job as Mr Campollo does. It is MY job as a Christian, which I work feverishly to fulfill nearly every day. NOW, YOU TELL ME what you do for Jesus. What I notice from people that say things like YOU is the inability to re-type user names as they are. Tiny Crack is NOT my user name. When you have a stronger defense than changing the subject, reply. otherwise, don’t post any more.
Very weak. What I …
Very weak. What I find about people who cannot defend a weak doctrinal view is attempts to change the subject, asking people to tell them what they are going to do for Jesus. So if I take my wife and daughter to the zoo today instead of open air preaching or serving in a soup kitchen, then my opinion that the Gospel should not be watered down by wealthy liberal preachers is negated. Riiiiight. Very very weak. For your knowlege, I serve the Lord in a number of different ways.
Tiny Crack, what …
Tiny Crack, what are you going to do today for Jesus? I am really curious, maybe great things! But what I notice from people that say things like you it is a whole lot of nothing. I hope you do big things for the lord today!
The idea that a …
The idea that a monk “felt” Jesus but this Jesus did not compel him to repent of his sin or his following of another god (VERY little “g”) to follow the one true God is weak. Let’s face it. Tony preaches a very very liberal doctrine hard to find in the Bible except thru marginalizing the true Gospel & who Jesus is: the God-man. So, yeah, satanist somewhere said he felt Jesus onetime. Did he repent and follow Jesus? HE is the only Way. It has nothing to do with Christianity, ALL to do w/Jesus
The point of the …
The point of the Buddhist monk story was that the monk already had Jesus in his life and knew him, he just wasn’t aware of the name of the presence.
Think about what …
Think about what you are saying. Christianity: the followers of Jesus, don’t have a monopoly on Jesus. No Christian would say that he/she had a “monopoly” on Jesus. Jesus alone has a monopoly on Jesus. Jesus said, “I am God” He also said, “NO ONE can get to the Father but by ME. Following what HE did, NOT what some monk or what some budah did will get you to heaven. Those who follow after other Gods will burn in hell. I’m just quoting Jesus. Sorry to disappoint you and Tony.
In his interview …
In his interview with Charlie Rose, he describes a Buddhist monk who and felt the presence of Jesus, but didn’t know His name. What he says there is that Jesus is the only way, but Christianity doesn’t have a monopoly on Jesus.
He’s made MANY …
He’s made MANY statements implying such things…also statements supporting the idea that our government should be those who care for the widows and orphans. A very BIG supporter of larger, more intrusive government.
I love how people …
I love how people love to re-phrase what politicians and liberal Christians say. “No, no, no, THIS is what he/she’s REALLY trying to say.” When I was in high school my denomination had him as a speaker for their international youth convention. They regretted it for some of the things he said. Now that I look back, I regret it too. I enjoyed his anecdotes etc then…when my mind was full of mush. Now I know he’s a typical liberal college professor. It’s very disappointing.
Tony’s saying that …
(which, from my point of view, is definately a good thing coz id hav no hope otherwise!)
Tony’s saying that he can’t say WHO can become a Christian.. he’s not saying that Christ is not the only way.. he’s saying that Christ can get ANYBODY into heaven irrespective of what WE think. The Bible says ‘Judge and ye shall be judged’ and the new testament is all about encouraging people and building them up not about saying they have no hope

Christ built up the …
Christ built up the inner cities? We need a savior, that’s what we need. Christ went into war trenches? Huh?
I was so sad to …
I was so sad to hear Tony Campolo say, “I’m not in a position to say what kind of person is going to and what kind of person is going to hell…none of us are. I’m not in a position to say what religious path is the only way to heaven.” With a few more words, he clearly stated that he did not believe Christianity was the only way to heaven. He sure has changed. Funny how “socialogist” and “socialist” seem to sound very similar.
The abbreviation …
The abbreviation would be silly if it was an abbreviation for a donkey. he he!
Huh? What’s a ” …
Huh? What’s a “testimonays?”
tinycrack: not …
tinycrack: not according to the KJV bible. Yeah, it’s referring to the animal, not the body part. But the letter combination is there.

We each have our own lines we are willing to cross and not to cross. If we all had the same standards of holiness or morality, it’d be a boring life.
