What is the Christian Prosperity Movement that is promoted through conferences and seminars?

It seems many Christian churches are sponsoring these events lately in churches, hotels and summer tent meetings.

Famous Christian ministers such as Rick Warren, Joel Osteen, Kenneth Copeland, Benny Hinn, and Joyce Meyer seem to promote them.

They are the people who have managed to take the bible’s, quite laudable, messages about life being more than just a scrabble for monetary wealth & twisted them around to fit the capitalistic desires of modern America.

Although it is quite clear than when the bible speaks of ‘rewards’ it is referring the sort of thing that money can’t buy, like love, peace of mind, a clear conscience, etc, these people have reduced it’s meaning to dollars & cents.

It’s shameful really & if I was a Christian I’d be wholeheartedly p*ssed off with them.

A conference is a meeting of people, to confer re specific pre-decided issues to discuss the data from all possible angles, usually to upgrade a process or find a solution.
A seminar is a tutorial upon a given topic, during or after which audience/student/pupil Q & A & comments may or may not be part of the tutorial.
. In most cases, particularly in public or business seminars, that`s usual. University seminars include student-participation or otherwise, depending upon the purpose of the seminar.

I am looking for a camcorder for church service?

I am looking for a camcorder to use to record and upload our church service. What is a good camera to use? Lighting and the stage used for service is similar to a seminar or conference stage area. I would like to keep the budget reasonable. The church is just starting to expand and resources are limited, but at the same time we still would like to have a good quality video to provide to members geographically separated. Please help me out, I don’t even know where to start looking. Thanks,

I bought Canon VIXIA HF R200 camcorder with the recommendation from Canon as I am using the camera to tape educational videos for YouTube .
Having own a Sony Video 8 Handycam so this is my first HD digital camera. So far for me, the R200 is sturdy, light weight, with an incredible zoom (from 20 feet I can zoom on a box of cereal and read the ingredients!) and is very easy to use. The touch screen is a great feature as you only need your finger tip to maneuver and you can even do some editing. I do wish the camera was compatible with my MacBook Pro, but will have to down load and edit on Windows.

This is a profitable business so I’m just curious.

No special license is necessary to hold seminars or teach them. You can direct all the seminars you want.
