What does this mean regarding an event?

I am attending an conference type of event and it says "hotel and meals are contracted".
Does this mean they are free or do I have to pay for them?
This might be a silly question but I really have no idea, thanks.

Will there really be a press conference for Capitol Punishment?

I know it was just a fake press conference on Raw to make it seem like Jerry Lawler was dreaming but will it be true? If it is, this will probably be the biggest event of the year.

I don’t think so.

The President has more things to focus on. Like, helping the towns that got hit by really bad tornados, the army, and the economy. I would be suprised if he did take time off of helping others and making things better, to make a press conference for it. I mean, he has to do a lot, and make sure everything is running in order, and what to do next with the army, and probably prepare the security of our country.

I would be suprised though if we did, but I seriously doubt it. If he did he probably wouldn’t have a press conference for it, he will most likely say something about it, and just make a statement or comment about it being in Washington D.C, or something along those lines.

How about explaining why you want to go to the leadership conference and what you hope to learn while you are there? Give ah honest, sincere response. If you can’t put it into words, you won’t be able to secure an interview.

If you may know, Apple is most likely going to be revealing the new iPad later this month. My question is, can I (an average consumer) go to this event/conference? Or do you have to be a reporter or such. Thanks for any answers.

Someone I know has been charges with unlawful possession of a dangerous controlled substance. They were arrested and released the next day, their preliminary conference was scheduled 2 weeks from their release. What is involved in this event and what comes after?

A preliminary conference will be, for most, the first, if not the only court appearance in a contested divorce in New York.

I like to think of the preliminary conference as the first opportunity to formally eliminate and identify issues in the case. Once the issues in dispute are identified, the timeline is set for their final resolution at trial.

Like all court appearances in a matrimonial action, the parties and their attorneys must appear in court. At the conference, the parties sign a binding agreement (a " Preliminary Conference Order") detailing what issues (marital fault [grounds], equitable distribution, maintenance, child custody, support and visitation)are in dispute. If, for instance, the grounds for divorce are unresolved, the court will immediately schedule a grounds trial.

If grounds are not in dispute (both parties agree that there will be a divorce upon some ground), the preliminary conference order will address discovery for those issue which are unresolved. For example, the order will provide for the exchange of financial documents and may address the appointment of necessary experts to value property, businesses, professional licenses, degrees and pensions, etc. The order may also address how the experts will be paid.

If there are issues involving children, the court may appoint a law guardian for the children and may also order a forensic examination.

This conference gives judge his first taste of the case. At the conference, the judge will be able to meet and assess the parties and informally judge the merits of the case. The Court will also be able to address any immediate issues like temporary maintenance, child support or anything else that may require the judicial resolution.

As I said at the outset, for many, the preliminary conference will be their only court appearance in the divorce. Many cases are resolved at the preliminary conference. Most contested divorces settle some time after the preliminary conference during the discovery phase of the divorce.

Frustrated in the realization that his "Cap and Trade" legislation had gone no where in the ensuring year, and embarrassed to face the global warming community at Cancun with his failure at Copenhagen, President Obama used his EPA headed by Lisa Jackson as an end-run around Congress to impose "cap" without the "trade" to reduce carbon emissions among many of America’s industries, even at power plants, and at other essential activities which produce jobs and provide economic benefits.

Arguments can be made for and against reducing carbon emissions, but it can’t be argued that carbon dioxide represents the"life blood" of our planet. Necessary for plant life, CO2 makes human life possible.

Unless the proposed EPA regulations are stopped in federal court by January 2nd, 2011, the Draconian EPA proposals will be enacted, providing yet another victory for Obama in his mission to impose his radical Left-wing political agenda, where the global redistribution of wealth tops his agenda, and which would pose great danger to this nation’s sovereignty and economic stability.

You see, You may be the average End Use Consumer, but, you are not the person they are playing to in these events. They play to as you mention, the Press for free coverage/advertisement, then there is the Wall street crowd that controls the money and the stock price. The big Dealers and resellers are high on the list, the ones that sell to you . Then, add VIPs so the story is bigger depending on the Mucky mucks that come. Of course they play to dealers, so if you become a dealer, not a Consumer then you can go, if you have a high enough sales volume

Edit@David: Now just where do you buy these "expensive tickets", the black market? These events are by "invitation" only.
